The orchestra performed a sell-out children's charity concert at Sheffield City Hall.
Sheffield Children's Hospital made this great YouTube video celebrating the event:
Amateur musician Ian Huddlestone approached the orchestra requesting some string players to play with his band. Endcliffe Orchestra conductor Martin Lightowler said he could have the whole orchestra! Martin arranged an accompaniment to Ian's songs and this resulted in a concert at Sheffield's Victoria Hall.
Listen to Ian's songs, and a Green Day Medley, Queen's Don't Stop Me Now, and Bryan Adams's Everything I do that the orchestra performed on its own, which have reached over 10,000 views!
Martin Lightowler retired as our conductor in 2022 after seventeen glorious years. This video was prepared for his leaving party in September 2022 from our archive of photos, accompanied by Matthew Leese's Happy Melancholy
